Job Summary
The Physician Practice Supervisor manages all administrative and operational functions, including inventory control, personnel management, patient relations, and patient flow, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

A working manager who performs clerical functions and fills in as needed, adhering to the mission, goals, policies, and procedures of TPR, including HIPAA compliance.

Optimizes staff performance by scheduling, assigning work, coaching, and training staff.

Oversees daily office operations, including cash reconciliation, charge entry, and operational checks and balances.

Qualifications

5 years of experience working in a physician office, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

High school diploma or GED required; college degree or equivalent education and experience.

Demonstrated understanding of fiscal and human resource management in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge of computer systems and applications, including electronic medical records and MS Office products.

Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information, and making appropriate recommendations.

Skill in exercising initiative with effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and applying policies to everyday situations.

Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

Solid knowledge of CPT and ICD‑9 coding, chart audit processes, HIPAA, and collection processes.

Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with patients, physicians, and staff in a tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead staff effectively.
