Summary
The primary function of this position is to read, interpret, and complete K–12 National School Lunch bid contracts and RFPs. This includes collaborating with various departments to obtain required information, verifying Tyson’s availability and contract compliance, creating letters, obtaining signatures, and gathering company policies required for bid submission. The role also involves evaluating requested products to ensure they meet bid contract specifications and entering provided pricing into bid contract forms.

Responsibilities

Maintain proper records of commonly used bid materials.

Ensure accurate information in all outside third‑party bidding systems.

Submit renewal and non‑renewal letters.

Manage all correspondence related to bid contracts.

Notify other departments of their responsibilities to remain in compliance with the bid contract.

Upload signed state participation agreements to the shared drive and signed bid contracts into the Contract Management System (CMS).

Complete State Participation Agreements for conducting USDA commodity reprocessing business in each participating state.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

3+ years of office experience preferred.

1 year of experience with Tyson office systems preferred.

Computer Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Communication Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

High level of professionalism in all communication.

Special Skills

Self‑motivated with exceptional organizational skills, especially under high‑pressure deadlines.

Consistently demonstrate composure and accuracy while meeting required deadlines.

Work is highly varied and requires interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Responsible for analyzing and solving complex problems.
