MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid license from the Virginia Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP)
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA)
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Good organizational, human relations, and communication skills
Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
Experience with a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Knowledge of a variety of AAC strategies and systems
Ability to use technology in therapeutic procedures
Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary team providing therapeutic services to identified students
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff
Demonstrate a willingness to work with all students
Hold a valid driver's license
Possess high moral standards and integrity
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary according to School Board Pay Plan and contract length 200 days
