Research Assistant (TEMPORARY - part-time, 17.5 hours/week)
The Hill Lab is hiring a part-time, temporary research associate to work on molecular genetics experiments to determine causes of Congenital Heart Defects.
What You’ll Do
Conduct experiments using molecular biology techniques, including PCR, transformation, bacterial cell culture, and enzymatic reactions.
Breed zebrafish and conduct experiments on the embryos.
Record and report results accurately and concisely.
Required Qualifications
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a molecular biology lab.
Competency using molecular biology techniques, including PCR, transformation, bacterial cell culture, and enzymatic reactions.
Training in zebrafish animal husbandry.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the SciNote virtual lab book.
