Job Overview
Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator I. The Safety Coordinator I is responsible for compiling data from auditing field work and implementing safe work practices for health and safety hazards. Assist the Safety Director on overall safety and health responsibilities. Travel to various job site locations to conduct safety audits, complete audit reports, and monitor compliance issues. Develop incident and accident events. Proficiently develop policy and procedures according to Federal and State guidelines. Incorporate and practice HCSG 5 Marks - Safety, Integrity, Efficiency, Legacy, Respect - in all aspects of job performance and interactions with others.
Responsibilities
Present self in a professional manner when at a customer location acting as a company representative.
Implement and address safety and health hazards in the workplace.
Assist in prevention of onsite safety and health hazards.
Assist in the implementation of safety policies at the jobsite & branch offices as instituted by the Safety Director.
Support in preparing and tracking safety accident investigation reports in conjunction with the Safety Department needs.
Evaluate hazards within the workplace for safety, health and environmental risks.
Implement health and safety procedures and programs for all departments and monitor safety compliance to reduce risks.
Provide field reviews, reports and action plans for corrections (15/30/45‑day reports).
Assist in the identification and prioritization of risks inherent to field activities.
Assist in the modifications of training, policies, and inspections based on periodic risk analyses.
Adhere to all company policies including safety, appearance, and customer service.
Communicate consistently within the Safety Department when interacting with branches, customers, and employees.
Perform field/branch investigations as assigned.
Attend 75% of branch meetings either in person or via Teams.
Keep up to date on local, state, federal, customer guidelines.
Field work audits and evaluating hazards may include working at elevations in excess of 30 feet. Travel will be overnight and up to 50%.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of safety related experience.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to produce reports in a timely, efficient manner according to program protocols.
Computer proficient.
Demonstrate respect for all individuals.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
Ability to communicate in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Desired Qualifications
Associate Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Industrial Sciences, or a related field.
Professional certifications related to the field.
Ability to prepare technical reports to support the Safety Department.
Other Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug test and background (DISA) and submit to random and annual drug testing as required.
