Job Overview
Assistant Coach for Men’s & Women’s Squash at Cornell University. Responsibilities
Assist in team and player development and training, practice and match planning, evaluation of athlete performances, and recruitment of prospective athletes. Support on‑ and off‑campus recruiting, including transportation to away competitions. Plan scheduling, planning, and travel arrangements. Recommend and procure equipment purchases. Communicate with alumni and program supporters and assist with fundraising.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with up to 2 years of squash experience or equivalent. Prior coaching or competitive collegiate playing experience required.
Proven success in coaching, recruiting, and developing student‑athletes.
Highly motivated with outstanding work ethic and strong recruiting abilities.
Knowledge of NCAA rules.
Understanding of Ivy League non‑athletic scholarship environment and recruiting strategies.
Ability to help student‑athletes balance rigorous academic schedules.
Experience modeling inclusive values: inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing.
Ability to cultivate inclusive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
