Overview
Half-time High School Interventionist (Classroom Teacher). Start Date: August 2026. The half-time interventionist acts as a coach to students who are academically behind, need more time and support, or identified as being at high risk due to grades and attendance.
Responsibilities
Maintain a caseload of students; provide academic support and collaboration with classroom teachers to deliver student supports.
Assist with credit recovery and/or poor grades; provide classroom instruction and re-teaching as needed.
Support attendance for students and families; act as a student mentor.
Sit on the district dropout prevention committee and serve on the school's RTI Team.
Oversee tutorials and learning labs.
Qualifications
Maine State Teaching certification and teaching experience is preferred.
