Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced
Equipment Installation Crew Lead
to supervise and manage field installation crews for industrial processing equipment. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring
strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and field installation expertise .
This position involves
extensive travel (approx. 75%) across the Midwest, with occasional travel to Canada and Central America . When not traveling, employees may take unpaid time off or work onsite in
Jordan, MN .
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise field installation crews on industrial equipment projects
Plan labor, materials, tools, and equipment for job sites
Coordinate schedules, project milestones, and installation timelines
Verify parts, materials, and equipment are delivered to job sites
Track and report crew hours for payroll and project management
Train and mentor crew members on tools, welding, and installation methods
Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, manlifts, welders, torches, and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and site regulations
Maintain tools, equipment, and field inventory
Requirements:
5+ years of field installation experience (crew lead/supervisory experience preferred)
Strong welding skills and mechanical aptitude (required)
