
Project Manager - Oakland

Job Description
The Project Manager is the key liaison between the University, consultants and contractors. The Project Manager will oversee procurement of services, project administration, determining of scope, administering contracts, resolving conflicts, and ensuring the work is completed on time and on budget of contract. In a leadership and/or management capacity, the Project Manager may be involved in any or all of the following: contract scope definitions, contract negotiations, contract administration, payment process, change order control, cost control, schedule control and quality control. Develop and prioritize programs/projects according to relevant measurement criteria. Direct the forecast and adjustment of resources to ensure projects and programs are delivered as promised. Partner with the Director of Work Management to develop metrics that provide meaningful data to validate expected outcomes and develop recommendations to provide corrective action. The Project Manager performs primary responsibilities personally or through administrative and technical assistants and other project personnel.
Qualifications
Possess the ability to work independently in difficult and complex tasks;
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate and communicate to diverse groups including faculty, academic administration, management and others;
Must possess ability to organize and prioritize workload, be proactive in identifying project needs and requirements;
Strong, documented skills in the areas of organization, problem-solving and personal interactions;
Self-motivated with sound decision-making skills;
This position may have supervisory responsibilities as defined by the project scope, including administrative staff, assistant project managers, and other personnel.

Expected Hiring Range
$96,565.00 - $136,397.50
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors including your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
