Under direction, organizes, supervises, assigns and reviews the work of staff responsible for planting, removing, pruning, and caring for ornamental and shade trees and shrubbery; ensures work quality, and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
Either:
Two years of full‑time paid experience employed by the County of Sacramento in the class of Tree Trimmer.
Three years of full‑time paid experience planting, trimming, spraying, and caring for ornamental and shade trees and shrubbery, two of which must have been in a lead worker or supervisory capacity.
Note: If the word “experience” is referenced in the minimum qualifications, it means full‑time paid experience unless the minimum qualification states that volunteer experience is acceptable. Part‑time paid experience may be accumulated and pro‑rated to meet the total experience requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
Possession of a certificate from the International Society of Arboriculture
Possession of a current Qualified Applicator Certificate for the application of herbicides and pesticides from the Department of Pesticide Regulation, State of California
