The Production Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the daily input and monitoring of production materials inventory in accordance with the Company’s MRP/ERP management system and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position is essential in implementing, and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in the correct locations at the correct quantity. The position will assist management in the development and implementation and/or administration of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will be responsible for monitoring all material issuance, usage, and returns. Post inventory transactions into Company’s ERP/management systems daily. Will assist branch warehouses with their inventory control procedure.

Responsibilities

Ensures all issued materials to production are accurate according to the pick sheet/MMR. Coordinate with Material Handler on all materials issued and returned to inventory; monitor usage and post all material consumption into the ERP system.

Posts and tracks direct labor hours.

Performs thorough research and documents inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root cause and supply possible solutions.

Works with key personnel to implement process improvements to operational procedures to optimize location and item-level accuracy and maintain productivity.

Coordinates cycle counts to identify and correct discrepancies at the location level as needed.

Assists in monitoring warehouse transfers for accuracy and cost effectiveness as directed by Purchasing, Production, and Materials Management.

Ensures that the unit of measure “in” is the same as the unit of measure “out”.

Supports the implementation of inventory control measurements.

What You Need

High school diploma or GED.

Data entry skills and attention to detail; ability to process inventory documentation accurately and quickly.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to deliver on assigned objectives within requested timeframes.

Proactive in raising issues and presenting solutions; able to document and present work clearly.

Proficiency with computers and software required to accomplish job responsibilities.

Physical Demands

Must be able to work an 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift, and overtime as assigned, in a warehouse environment.

Must be able to see and read small print; hear and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.

Must be able to operate and use equipment; occasionally kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl as needed.

Must be able to work in a stationary position and move about unassisted.

Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and reach overhead and to the side repetitively; may ascend/descend ladders carrying up to 20 pounds.

Must be able to work in a moderate-noise environment.
