IT Product Owner – Independent Aftermarket (IAM)

We are seeking a results‑driven IT Product Owner - Independent Aftermarket (IAM) to lead the strategy, delivery, and optimization of digital solutions that support the independent aftermarket ecosystem. This role is responsible for owning IT products that enable parts availability, catalog accuracy, pricing, ordering, fulfillment, and partner integration for independent distributors, retailers, and repair facilities.

The Product Owner will act as the primary bridge between IAM business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, data‑driven, and aligned with commercial growth, operational efficiency, and long‑term digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy

Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for Independent Aftermarket IT capabilities, including catalog data, pricing, ordering, fulfillment, and partner integrations.

Develop a deep understanding of IAM business models, customer journeys, and competitive dynamics.

Align product strategy with aftermarket growth objectives, revenue targets, and partner expectations.

Backlog Ownership & Agile Delivery

Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value, partner impact, risk, and technical feasibility.

Translate IAM business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Partner closely with Agile delivery teams (Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Suppliers) to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.

IAM Ecosystem & Partner Integration

Support integrations with independent aftermarket partners, including distributors, retailers, and e‑commerce marketplaces.

Collaborate on data standards and integrations (e.g., product content, pricing, availability, order status).

Work cross‑functionally with Commercial, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Digital teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end experiences.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Define and track KPIs such as partner adoption, order accuracy, catalog quality, cycle time, and revenue contribution.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort through automation and integration.

Leverage modern technologies (APIs, cloud platforms, analytics, AI) to modernize IAM capabilities.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for IAM‑related IT products and initiatives.

Facilitate roadmap reviews, demos, and feedback sessions with business stakeholders and partners.

Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and data governance standards.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis roles.

Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Strong ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.

Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive aftersales, independent aftermarket (IAM), or B2B commerce environments.

Familiarity with aftermarket data, catalog, pricing, or order management concepts.

Experience with system integrations, APIs, and partner connectivity.

Exposure to cloud platforms, data analytics, and digital transformation initiative
