Warehouse Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Position Summary
U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships.

Working Hours and Schedule
Sunday-Thursday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm or until the work is completed and rotating Fridays. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.

Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.

Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.

Assists with process improvement initiatives.

Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards.

Ensure excellent customer service and communication.

Receiving:

Check in product completely and accurately.

Stock products correctly.

Loading:

Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries.

Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.

Returns:

Inspect and physically count returned merchandise.

Restock inventory in appropriate place.

Outbound freight of vendor returns.

Paperwork for all warranty product.

Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.

Operate power equipment, including forklift.

May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.

Benefits

Pay for this position is $28-$30/hr. U.S. Venture's compensation range is specific to location and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands: employees are frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided except steel/composite toe boots. Work environment may include exposure to weather conditions, moderate noise levels, fumes from tires, car parts, and lubricants.

Qualifications

3 years of related experience.

Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers.

Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.

Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.

Good memory and scanning abilities.

Good communication and math skills.

Able to lift up to 65 lbs with proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.

Able to learn to use a forklift.

May require valid driver's license and conformance with company driver policy.

Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC/marijuana).
