Overview
Feed Prep Operation Technician
at Clean Harbors, Kimball, NE. This role involves hands-on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations and offloading vans with forklift and pallet jack operation. The position is outside 95% of the time in adverse weather conditions. Wage: $26.50 per hour. Shift is rotating Days 6a-6p / Nights 6p-6a, 4-12 hour shifts weekly.
Responsibilities
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
Perform basic operations including drum movement, drum opening, and proper inventory warehousing.
Operate a forklift when necessary; perform and document daily safety checks prior to operating.
Complete and submit all required paperwork for waste tracking movements.
Use scanning application for dumping and pumping.
Ensure work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
Review applicable SOPs and satisfactorily complete quizzes.
Understand and own area-specific permit required compliance standards.
Meet or exceed production goals.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent – required.
Willing to train on forklift operation.
Capability to reach, lift, and exert force; climb ladders as needed.
Good hand/eye coordination; 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected) with depth perception considered critical.
Lifting up to 50 lbs from ground to waist; able to work in adverse weather.
DOT/OSHA training; ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in Windows-based applications; ability to perform multiple tasks.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Respirator fit test required upon hire; clean shaven face (mustache allowed).
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical; valid Driver's License required.
