Summary
The Logistics Procurement Specialist will execute day‑to‑day procurement operations to support strategic sourcing for transportation and other business departments. This role administers and supports vendor contracts, including negotiation, implementation, and purchasing of goods and services. Duties include reviewing vendor rates, conducting market studies, and supporting supplier relationships for best procurement practices.
Responsibilities
Supplier management and oversight of FV Transportation procurement with external supply chain processes
Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential suppliers and internal stakeholders
Proactive management of supplier performance and scorecards
Oversee procurement activity categories to maintain supply continuity
Review and validate supplier contracts; ensure feasibility with internal stakeholders
Provide market study insights and trends for related spend
Initiate improved procurement processes to drive efficiency and reduce costs
Participate in cost‑efficiency and optimization projects; monitor vendor evaluations
Support compliance requirements and prepare regulatory reports for senior management
Lead or support negotiation plan development and execution
Coordinate with Business Development, Finance, Legal, and leadership to approve contracts
RFx/Proposal Management
Oversee RFx processes for new and recurring demand
Conduct market research and define scope, bidder identification, and timelines
Monitor vendor evaluations to base procurement decisions on current information
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze proposals and opportunities
Select optimum suppliers with favorable terms while ensuring compliance with Legal, Regulatory, and Customer requirements
Support business development and other projects as assigned
Engage in inter‑departmental projects to align procurement strategies with operations
Compensation
$68,000 - $74,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
5–8 years of direct experience in Supplier Management, Logistics, and/or Project Management
6–9 years of direct experience preferred
8 years of indirect experience required
