The Role
Plans, develops, and coordinates in‑house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains necessary information to prepare training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new requirements and keep technical information up to date.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of exempt experience; or master’s degree and 1 year of exempt experience
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; high‑school graduate with 5 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non‑exempt experience; or graduate of Navy Nuclear Power School
Equivalent to the exempt years of experience: 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience
Nice to Have
Knowledge and experience with Nuclear System Cleanliness and Controlled Material requirements
Knowledge and experience with Steam Plant systems
Knowledge and experience with Radiological Controls
Knowledge and experience with Mixed Waste and/or GDOT
Currently or formerly qualified Article 108 Radiological Controls Technician (RCT)
Advanced computer skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Captivate)
