
NUCLEAR / RADIOLOGICAL PRODUCT TRAINER 2

Responsibilities
Plans, develops, and coordinates in‑house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in‑house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of exempt experience; or Master’s degree and 1 year of exempt experience.
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to a bachelor’s degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; high school graduate with 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non‑exempt experience; Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School.
Equivalents to required years of experience include 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience, in addition to the education requirement above.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Knowledge and experience with Nuclear System Cleanliness and Controlled Material requirements.
Knowledge and experience with Steam Plant systems.
Knowledge and experience with Radiological Controls.
Knowledge and experience with Mixed Waste and/or GDOT.
Currently or formerly qualified Article 108 Radiological Controls Technician (RCT).
Advanced computer skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Captivate, etc.).
