
Environmental & System Manager / Chef Miljö och Verksamhetssystem

Responsibilities
Be responsible for the mill’s overall environmental and energy work and ensure compliance with applicable laws, permit conditions, regulatory requirements and Group requirements
Lead and allocate work within the team
Ensure clear priorities, goals and deliveries within the area of responsibility
Contribute to competence development, structure and efficient ways of working within the team
Collaborate closely with Operations, PPD, Wood Sourcing and other support functions
Act as the mill’s main point of contact towards supervisory authorities and other external stakeholders in environmental and energy matters
Liaison with municipal operations such as Högberget and Malmbergskajen
Handle external complaints
Coordinate and be responsible for reporting to authorities, including environmental reports, follow-up of permit conditions and handling of deviations
Be responsible for the local document management system (Centuri)
Maintain, develop and ensure compliance with management systems in accordance with all relevant ISO standards, e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and other applicable system standards
Plan, conduct and follow up internal and external audits and ensure that identified nonconformities are corrected and closed
Ensure structured internal controlling and follow-up of environment, energy and ISO‑related goals, KPIs and action plans
Identify improvement areas related to resource efficiency, energy use, emissions, waste and chemicals management
Be responsible for waste management, including waste sorting and metal scrap
Ensure that environmental and energy requirements are integrated into the business’s processes, investments and change projects
Provide support, advice and training to management, line managers and the organization on environmental, energy and management-system matters
Be responsible for training and competence‑enhancing initiatives within environment, energy and ISO across the organization
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in qualified environmental and sustainability work within the process industry
Good knowledge of environmental and energy legislation and regulatory processes
Documented experience working with ISO-based management systems and audits
Ability to work in a structured way with follow‑up, analysis and internal controlling
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with both authorities and internal functions
Ability to lead, engage and coordinate
College or university degree in environmental science, chemistry, energy, engineering or equivalent
