Rescue Grading & Landscaping is looking for a motivated Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead to help us launch and grow the maintenance side of our business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a mowing job. We’re looking for a dependable leader who can produce high‑quality work, operate independently, help build strong customer relationships, and play a real role in growing this division.
Position Overview
The Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead will be responsible for leading day‑to‑day maintenance work, maintaining quality standards, communicating with customers when needed, and helping us grow our client base. During the early growth phase, this person will often work independently and must be self‑motivated, organized, and capable of representing the company well in the field.
This role also includes an opportunity to earn commission on qualified clients brought into the business, along with bonus opportunities based on performance.
Pay
Starting pay: $18 per hour
Commission: Paid on qualified new clients brought in
Bonus program: Performance‑based bonus opportunities available
Responsibilities
Perform lawn and landscape maintenance services, including mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, weed control, pruning, and general property upkeep
Lead daily field operations for maintenance work
Work independently and manage time effectively during the startup phase of the division
Maintain high‑quality standards on every property
Operate and care for equipment safely and responsibly
Perform daily equipment checks and report repair needs
Communicate professionally with customers on‑site
Identify upsell opportunities and help bring in qualified new maintenance clients
Keep job notes, time records, and service details organized
Represent Rescue Grading & Landscaping with professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
Experience in lawn maintenance or landscape maintenance
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Strong work ethic and reliability
Leadership mindset and willingness to help grow a division
Professional appearance and communication
Valid driver’s license
Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather
Ability to lift, load, and handle tools and materials as needed
