Per diem position. Primary Care office with 8‑hour day shifts Monday‑Friday, occasional evenings until 7:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Closed on 8 major holidays or observed holidays.

Position Summary
The Medical Assistant supports nurses and physicians in providing quality medical care. The role encompasses all job functions in a courteous and professional manner consistent with the organization’s mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program and holds a national certification: CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA or CMAC.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalence.
At least 10 months of work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field.
Required to pursue and obtain an approved Medical Assistant Certification within 90 days of hire and complete it within 9 months. Certification cost is not covered by the employer.
Participates in orientation and continuing education, maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise, and completes population‑specific competency annually.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, and reach.
Exposure Class 1 in Office/Clinical setting.
Work Environment & Hazards
Office/Clinical setting with Exposure Class 1.
Contact Group
All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, and various regulatory and professional agencies.
Supervised By
Registered Nurse or office manager. Direct supervision: N/A.
Salary
$20.00 – $27.85 per hour based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. Pay may vary within the stated range based on location.
