Electro-Mechanical Technician (Field Service)

Competitive Pay
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $30/hr to $45/hr, depending on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

Perform assembly/disassembly of rotating equipment, including pumps and motors

Install seals and packing, and recommend repair solutions based on equipment condition

Execute equipment start-ups and commissioning for industrial and water/wastewater systems

Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, motors, and related equipment

Diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues to maintain reliable operation

Conduct vibration analysis, PdMA testing, and infrared (IR) testing on equipment and control panels

Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems and assist with installation of electrical equipment

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings

Perform precision alignments to support equipment reliability

Work directly with customers to explain findings and recommend solutions

Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Collaborate with Customer Service, Shop teams, and Sales to support customer needs

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Respond to service calls, including occasional after-hours or emergency work

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or equivalent with strong mechanical aptitude

3–5+ years of experience in rotating equipment repair, maintenance, or field service (preferred, not required)

Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting (AC/DC)

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (non-CDL)

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

Willingness to travel occasionally and respond to after-hours service calls

Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

Bonus: Experience with vibration analysis, PdMA testing, or infrared diagnostics

Bonus: Familiarity with alignment tools and reliability best practices
