Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to adult and adolescent ER patients, including triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient status
Perform timely documentation in the electronic medical record and communicate patient progress to the care team
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other health professionals to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
Educate patients and families on procedures, discharge instructions, and follow‑up plans; participate in discharge planning as appropriate
Maintain infection control practices, patient safety standards, and a calm, organized approach in a fast‑paced ER environment
Requirements
Active Hawaii RN license prior to start of contract
Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (3x12)
Ability to work consecutive weekends as needed
Travel assignment with guaranteed hours; 13‑week contract term
Prior ER or acute care experience preferred
