Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Vail, Colorado. Start date 05/11/2026 for 13 weeks. Responsibilities
Care for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, plus recovery and postpartum care; lactation education and assistance; include well newborn and Level 2 Nursery in family-centered care.
Triage incoming patient requests, monitor and adjust care plans, and deliver patient education to support informed healthcare choices.
Delegate nursing tasks in compliance with Colorado statutes; demonstrate strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking.
Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures, consistently following patient safety guidelines.
Coordinate patient care with physicians, hospital teams, and external practices to achieve optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Practice Relationship-Based Care, advocate for patient safety and preferences, and maintain HIPAA compliance while upholding Just Culture and organizational values.
Requirements
Licensed Registered Nurse in Colorado or in a valid compact state
Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Associate Degree in Nursing
One year of clinical experience
Ability to work in a maternity care setting including antepartum, labor/delivery, recovery, postpartum, and neonatal care
