Position Summary
The CNA at Kenmare Rehab provides direct, high-quality care to residents under the supervision of an RN or LPN and in accordance with guidelines established by the Nurse Manager. This role supports residents’ daily care needs, assists with mobility and comfort measures, and helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment within the rehabilitation setting. As part of a collaborative care team, the CNA works closely with nursing staff and therapy teams to support recovery goals while consistently promoting resident dignity and safety. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to compassionate, team-based care are essential to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct resident care including hygiene, grooming, mobility assistance, nutrition support, and other daily living activities as assigned by licensed nursing staff.
Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks such as vital signs, observation reporting, and documentation within scope of practice.
Support resident mobility, transfers, and safety using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injury and enhance independence.
Maintain resident rooms, equipment, and common areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner following infection control and facility protocols.
Communicate promptly and clearly with RNs, LPNs, and the Nurse Manager regarding resident concerns, changes in condition, or safety issues.
Foster a supportive, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity, comfort, emotional well‑being, and a positive rehabilitative experience.
