Travel Ultrasound Technologist – High Risk (Sonographer)
Fusion Medical Staffing – Home Health is offering a travel assignment for a High‑Risk OB Ultrasound Tech in Temple, Texas. Assignment: 13 weeks, start date May 18, 2026, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days.
Job Requirements
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
Minimum of one year of experience as a High‑Risk OB Ultrasound Tech
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Preferred Qualifications
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
Current ARRT Certification in Sonography
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary
The High‑Risk OB Ultrasound Technician performs invasive and non‑invasive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and managing high‑risk pregnancies, ensuring accurate imaging, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing detailed findings and patient education.
Essential Work Functions
Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs
Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders
Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples
Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy
Set up and monitor equipment to ensure patients receive the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate
Observe and record patient status and progress
Educate patients/families on proper medication and equipment use
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Essential Skills

Proficiency in written and spoken English
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, follow verbal instructions, and possess PC skills
Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, bend
Work effectively with diverse personnel, demonstrating a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation and ability to assist during procedures and equipment handling
Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public, meet deadlines under pressure, and work under close supervision occasionally and independently as needed
Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
