Position Summary
The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialty is a field‑based role responsible for driving demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio. The role engages healthcare providers (HCPs) with a differentiated customer experience, maintains strong scientific credibility, and collaborates cross‑functionally to meet sales targets and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory, meeting or exceeding sales targets in a compliant manner.
Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating clinical and scientific rationale for appropriate patient use.
Engages with HCPs, conducts presentations, and maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans, using tools such as SOPHIA to inform call plans.
Provides feedback on tools and practices to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
Collaborates proactively with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience for HCPs.
Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally with appropriate stakeholders.
Complies with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales, medical science liaison, or related healthcare role.
Strong scientific communication skills with the ability to present data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
Proven experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office staff, and stakeholders.
Preferable experience in cardiovascular specialty.
Demonstrated strong account management skills, superior selling competencies, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Ability to work effectively cross‑functionally with a positive team mindset and can‑do attitude.

Compensation & Benefits
Field – United States. Base salary range: US $134,390 – $162,843. Incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility and performance.
