Phlebotomist II – Kansas City, MO
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, rotating Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Pay Range:
$19.80+ per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Successful candidates may receive annual performance bonus compensation.
Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions per training.
Verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
Use computer skills to accurately enter data.
Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as required.
Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport).
Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email).
Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data.
Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance and temperature logs).
Complete online and in‑person training courses on time.
Qualifications
Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime).
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
