Are you ready to help students with speech and language challenges succeed? As a speech‑language pathology assistant in our K–12 schools, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist. You will contribute to implementing treatment plans, provide direct therapy, and help students develop the communication skills they need for classroom success and beyond. You’ll collaborate closely with SLPs, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

What You’ll Do
Provide direct speech therapy services to students aligned with IEP goals under the supervision of an SLP.
Assist in implementing treatment plans and documenting student progress toward established goals.
Support the SLP in conducting screenings, data collection, and informal assessments.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies across environments.
Maintain accurate and compliant therapy notes, service logs, and progress documentation.
Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities to meet individual student needs.
Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as appropriate.
Must Have
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology Assisting or related field.
Current SLPA license or certification in the state where services are delivered (or eligibility to obtain).
DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred
One year of experience in a school or pediatric setting.
Familiarity with IEP processes and special education services.
Knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence‑based intervention strategies.
Experience supporting diverse student populations.
Physical Demands
Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
