Surgi-Center of Central VA – Sterile Processing Technician
We are hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation and set up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. The Technician will support the facility's mission, vision, and goals by establishing effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.
Responsibilities
Cares for and maintains surgical instrumentation.
Sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Supports departmental functions in a surgical environment.
Maintains effective working relationships with all constituencies.
Qualifications
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2–3 years of experience as an Instrument Room Technician.
Experience with all types of sterilizers.
Knowledge of operating room instrumentation.
Organized in setting up operating room instrument trays.
Understanding of steam/gravity and Sterrad sterilizers.
