We operate communities in the western US and are seeking the right CNA/Caregiver to join our team. This position can be full-time or part-time and includes being responsible for the care of our residents, which can be hands-on and/or stand-by assistance as needed. At Highgate, providing care means to provide for the whole person, providing physical assistance with activities of daily living and emotional, psychological, and soulful support.

Responsibilities

Provide care for residents, which can be hands-on and/or stand-by assistance as needed.

Provide physical assistance with activities of daily living.

Offer emotional, psychological, and soulful support to residents.

Support residents in maintaining independence and quality of life.

Skills & Qualities

Good customer service skills, the ability to intuit, and problem solve

Patience, level headedness, and compassion

Ability to pivot, change direction and accomplish tasks with innovative approaches

Background in working with different types of people with different ability levels

Team player with ability to develop strong working relationships

Ability to take feedback and incorporate it into your efforts

An understanding of what it takes to provide care to residents that need physical and/or cognitive support

Comfortable to adapt quickly to the changing needs of an older adult

An understanding or the willingness to gain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents with dementia can continue live with purpose

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age

Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification

Possession of CNA or HCA license

Current negative TB test

Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours

Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance

Ability to pass criminal record/background check

Be efficient and exercise good time management skills

Must be able to work well independently with little oversight

Must have a track record of top-notch organizational abilities and communication skills

Willing to attend and incorporate into your work efforts different types of training

Benefits & Notable Details

The compensation package for this role will be flexible based on credentialing, tenure, and skill sets. The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. Prior experience working with seniors is a plus. A passion for your work and a commitment to serving others are essential qualifications.
