
Medical Assistant

We are looking for a full‑time Clinical Medical Assistant to support our practice and provide high quality, efficient care to patients. The position is Monday–Friday, daytime only, with no nights, on‑call, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
Scheduling and canceling patient appointments
Checking patients in and out
Entering charges and payments
Answering the telephone
Verifying patient insurance and demographics
Collecting co‑payments, coinsurance, and personal balances
Performing selected administrative duties and assisting nursing staff
Collecting patient specimens
Taking patient histories and vital signs
Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
Administering injections, applying casts, splints, and dressings as applicable
Maintaining supplies and equipment, including sterilization
Assisting physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
Performing other duties as required
Reading, understanding, and adhering to all Physician Services policies and procedures
Practicing the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement
For certified Patient‑Centered Medical Home practices, coordinating continuity of care with external organizations, participating in data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits, and programmatic evaluation
Qualifications
One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
Medical Assistant Certification is required. Acceptable certifications include RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification; ABR‑OE credentials are acceptable
Recent graduates (within the last 12 months) must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment
Candidates with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess certification must obtain certification within one year of hire
