Student Assistant 2 – Plant Pathology

Dr. Soledad Benitez Ponce and her team are looking for a motivated undergraduate student to support their research program (part‑time) in the Department of Plant Pathology at CFAES Wooster. The team studies plant‑associated bacteria and fungi within agricultural systems. They work on two production systems of relevance to Ohio agriculture: corn, soybean, and hydroponic leafy‑green production. The student will support activities across various projects in the laboratory, including, but not limited to, the set up of greenhouse experiments, sampling plants, soil, seeds, and other relevant material from the greenhouse, maintenance and management of plant and microbial material, processing of samples for microbiological or genetic analysis, and laboratory cleanup and organization.
