Responsibilities
The Laboratory Point of Care Coordinator is responsible for the overall operation of Point of Care testing on the patient floors and the lab for the hospital system. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled in clinical areas as it relates to Laboratory results and accreditation. The individual helps maintain excellent rapport among Laboratory, Physicians, Nursing Staff and other Hospital Departments, and works closely with the Laboratory Director to maintain policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree required
Licensure/Certification/Registration
State of Florida MLT (TC) or MT (TN) (preferred)
Training: MLT/MT or equivalent; LIS training and or experience preferred
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Experience: At least two years experience in a hospital lab environment
