
WELDER - FABRICATOR

The owners and management feel loyalty works both ways, so we have very little turnover. We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our production team. The successful candidate will interpret technical drawings, prepare materials, and perform precision welding and fabrication to create high-quality metal components and assemblies.
Fabrication & Welding:
Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to fabricate, lay out, and assemble metal structures.
Welding Processes:
Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), or Stick (SMAW) welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Machinery Operation:
Operate fabrication machinery, including grinders, saws, plasma cutters, press brakes, and ironworkers.
Material Handling:
Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel).
Quality Control:
Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Safety & Maintenance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines, wear PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other Tasks:
Assist with rigging, material handling using forklifts or overhead cranes, and basic equipment maintenance.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in welding and metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading blueprints and welding symbols. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, tape measures).
Certifications:
AWS certifications (e.g., GMAW, SMAW) are highly preferred.
Physical Ability:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in confined or high places.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in welding is a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
