Job Overview
The United States Senate is seeking an IT Request Processing Technician to join our team. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of assisting customers with purchases of non-standard IT equipment, and initiating POs for Senate IT approved equipment. The ideal candidate will combine effective communication, and work experience with ServiceNow, comprehensive knowledge of IT Asset Management and Microsoft Excel to support our mission. The Target Hiring Range for this position is: $63,277-$77,000.

Responsibilities

Approve and track catalog orders, create purchase requisitions, and manage invoices.

Process and track technology catalog orders; create and modify purchase orders and requisitions.

Create contract orders and modifications (SharePoint, IQ, Scheduling, Web Design, etc.) and forward purchase orders with contract documentation to vendors.

Coordinate with Contract Representatives and vendors for order modifications and web services.

Manage and coordinate the Studios Senate Media Centers and office automation orders.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
Required Education

High School Diploma, GED.

Required Work Experience

1-2 years.

Required Special Skills/Knowledge

As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role.

Effective communication.

Work experience with ServiceNow, Asset Management and Excel.

Desired Qualifications

Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Asset Management and Microsoft Excel.

Basic knowledge of billing and invoicing.

Effective problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

Able to prioritize multiple tasks, while effectively managing daily workflow.

Able to be a problem solver, handling sensitive situations and customer needs.

Able to be an effective team player while working in a remote climate.

Working Conditions

Conditions of Employment
To be employed by a Senate employing office in a paid position in the continental United States an individual must:

Be a U.S. citizen;

Be lawfully admitted for permanent residence and seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)(B);

Be admitted as a refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157 or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1158 and have filed a declaration of intention to become a lawful permanent resident and then a citizen when eligible; or

Owe allegiance to the U.S. (i.e., qualify as a non-citizen U.S. national under federal law).

Employment is contingent on background / security investigation results.
