Position Overview
At Exact Temp Heating & Cooling, we are looking for a dependable, skilled HVAC Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer care. As a locally owned and operated company serving the Charlotte area, we treat our customers like family—and we expect our technicians to do the same.
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and occasionally installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. If you’re a motivated technician who values honesty, consistency, and growth, we want you on our team.
What You’ll Do
Perform A/C and heating system diagnostics, repairs, and replacements
Complete seasonal tune-ups and maintenance through our Exact Advantage Membership Program
Inspect systems for safety, efficiency, and proper operation
Test refrigerant levels, electrical components, airflow, and system performance
Clearly explain issues and solutions to customers in a professional manner
Provide recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or system replacements
Maintain accurate job notes, invoices, and photos using company software
Keep your company vehicle clean, stocked, and organized
Deliver a top-tier customer experience on every call
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of hands‑on HVAC experience (residential preferred)
EPA Certification (Universal strongly preferred)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently
Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions
Strong communication skills and a professional appearance
