JOB SUMMARY: The Laboratory Technician (Temporary) is responsible for performing routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operational teams. This entry-level role involves conducting product testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards under intermediate supervision. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products • Conduct product analysis and accurately document test results in databases • Monitor and check instrumentation performance, including calibration and preventive maintenance • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on laboratory equipment • Interpret test results and communicate findings to internal stakeholders • Maintain and update customer specification documentation • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards • Support development and maintenance of food safety and quality culture through cross-functional collaboration • Assist in more complex laboratory trials and experiments under supervision • Handle basic administrative, clerical, and technical support tasks • Escalate complex issues to appropriate team members as needed • Read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals • Prepare routine reports and documentation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures • Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety standards • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Good written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions • Willingness to work onsite in a laboratory setting • Ability to complete background check, drug test, and medical questionnaire PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Prior exposure to laboratory or food safety environments • Basic knowledge of analytical instrumentation and testing methods • Experience with data entry and maintaining laboratory records Education: High School
