We are seeking a Material Control Supervisor to lead daily material handling, inventory control, and warehouse activities in our metal fabrication manufacturing operation. This role ensures the right materials are available at the right time to support production while maintaining accurate inventory and efficient material flow throughout the plant. This role directly impacts production schedules and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of material handling, receiving, storage, and internal material movement
Lead and develop a team responsible for inventory control, warehouse organization, and material delivery to production lines
Ensure raw materials, components, and finished goods are properly received, stored, and issued to production
Coordinate closely with production, purchasing, and planning teams to maintain proper material availability
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP/MRP system
Oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy resolution
Implement and maintain organized warehouse layouts and material flow processes
Ensure safe material handling practices and compliance with company safety policies
Identify opportunities to improve material handling efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
Train team members on procedures, equipment operation, and inventory best practices
Work closely with production and purchasing teams to align activities with production schedules, budget and inventory optimization targets
Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications

5+ years of experience in materials, inventory control, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Experience supporting metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing operations
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory management processes
College degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
Experience with forklifts, material handling equipment, and warehouse safety practices
Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin)/English speaker is highly preferred
Highly collaborative with a strong, team-oriented mindset
Proficient with SAP (ERP system) and MS Excel
Steel furniture manufacturing experience is preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Pay

$80,000 - $100,000 per year DOE

On-site role in a production facility - daily presence on the shop floor required
Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facilities and perform the above-mentioned essential duties
