Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of Production department personnel
Monitor and control manufacturing processes to ensure product meets customer specifications
Oversee plant operations during non-business hours, including Production, Maintenance, Shipping, and Laboratory areas
Inspect process equipment to ensure proper operation and efficiency
Implement process work instructions and complete required reporting
Monitor and direct safe and proper process equipment operation
Ensure compliance with all production and plant policies
Manage off-spec material handling, reprocessing, and contamination prevention
Direct production unit startups and shutdowns
Supervise product loading and oil unloading activities during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Conduct safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and correct unsafe conditions
Monitor environmental conditions and mitigate emissions-related issues
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and organized facility
Support feedstock inventory management, employee training, and plant quality systems
Conduct plant inspections to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience)
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
1-2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in production
Experience in carbon black, chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments
Strong understanding of process operations and equipment troubleshooting
Ability to lead teams and manage production in a fast-paced environment
Strong safety, environmental, and compliance awareness
Proficiency with computer systems and reporting tools
Preferred Experience:
Experience in carbon black or specialty materials manufacturing
Background in continuous process manufacturing environments
Experience managing plant operations during off-shifts or independently
Familiarity with quality systems and process optimization
