US ROD- A Q2 Artificial Lift Services subsidiary- is searching for an experienced Yard Technician.

Basic Employee Responsibilities

Leading by example by following established Quality, Health and Safety policies & procedures.
Showing respect and pride for facilities and equipment.
Being responsible - on time for work and taking breaks during designated times.
Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed.
Demonstrating teamwork, clear communication, and a positive attitude while working outdoors.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard environment.
Following SOPs for material handling, yard layout, traffic flow, and equipment staging.
Using forklifts, loaders, and yard tools safely and responsibly.
Protecting company materials, equipment, and inventory from damage or loss.
Position Specific Responsibilities

Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring safe material handling practices.
Stage, move, and organize materials, rods, pipes, equipment, and tools within the yard.
Ensure accurate labeling, placement, and rotation of yard inventory.
Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing loads and verifying documentation.
Operate forklifts, loaders, telehandlers, or other yard equipment as needed.
Maintain yard cleanliness including debris removal, snow clearing (if applicable), and equipment organization.
Assist with waste management, scrap handling, and bin organization.
Report inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Yard Foreman.
Perform basic equipment and tool checks and notify supervisors of maintenance needs.
Follow safe traffic flow practices and guide drivers during loading or backing operations.
Assist in preparing materials for shop or field use as directed.
Support yard security by ensuring controlled access and proper organization of stored materials.
Required Minimum Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in yard work, material handling, or industrial outdoor labor (preferred).
Ability to safely operate forklifts, loaders, or willingness to obtain certification.
Strong understanding of safe lifting and material handling practices.
Ability to read work orders, loading instructions, and basic documents.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Physical Demands

Ability to work outdoors year-round in heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow.
Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and handle physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and yard equipment safely.
