
Sanitation Supervisor (Swing Shift)

Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in MVFF Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.

Ensuring that employees are trained, including refresher trainings, in order to perform their jobs effectively.
Ensuring the employees properly clean and sanitize all equipment used in the handling, processing, packaging, and storing of all products, raw, and pasteurized.
Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule is followed and maintained for all areas of MVFF
Ownership of all functions related to chemical purchasing and inventory
Ensuring the exterior of all tanks, lines, floors, walls and ceiling are cleaned on a daily basis.
Ensuring all hook ups are made correctly prior to C.I.P.
Ensuring any unsafe areas or accidents are reported immediately.
Ensuring checks for chemical titration strengths daily and notes results on C.I.P. charts on a daily basis
Ensuring reports for any equipment or other problems are reported.
Ensuring changes on all air blows on pasteurized side are completed on a daily basis.
Ensuring changes on all syringe plugs OMI ports in Raw Silo room and on pasteurized Tuesdays and Fridays.
Ensuring all employees fill out all C.I.P. charts with complete and accurate information as required by Company, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
Ensuring safe working conditions are maintained by ensuring visual inspections are done regularly, hazards are correctly immediately, employees are trained regularly and all employees and others entering the area follow safe work practices. Also ensures that food safety practices are followed at all times.
Reviewing and monitoring labor cost information to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations are maintained.
Ensure all functions pertaining to timecard, attendance, and payroll are maintained in a timely manner
Communicating if product is out of specification and taking appropriate action to correct the situation while properly following the Quality Hold Procedure;
Knowledge of production goals/targets and supporting the attainment of these targets. Taking corrective action as needed when lines are down or targets are not met;
Supporting internal and external audits;
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
3+ years progressive experience in a key leadership role, preferably within a food processing environment.
Strong ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
