We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Forklift Mechanic** to join our team and help maintain and repair a variety of forklifts and related equipment in our growing operation.
**Position Overview:**
The **Equipment Mechanic** will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with in-depth technical knowledge of forklift systems, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Work would be performed in our shop and/or on the road at the customers location.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including parts used, labor, and any issues identified during service.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers regarding service progress and recommendations.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a equipment mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of forklift operation, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with internal combustion, electric, and LPG-powered forklifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Valid driver’s license.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work with others.
- Ability to crouch, kneel, or work in tight spaces as needed.
