About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the financial and strategic management of the organization. The CFO will work closely with the President and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement the operating budget, multi-year financial plan, and policies that align with the strategic goals. This executive will also serve as the Treasurer to the Board of Trustees, oversee the financial department, and ensure the integrity of financial operations. Key responsibilities include leading the development of annual operating and capital budgets, preparing financial reports, and representing the organization in external and internal audits.
The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in mid- to high-level administration, with a proven track record in fiscal management, strategic planning, and team leadership. A Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. The CFO must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in higher education administration and/or as a Certified Public Accountant is a plus. The role demands a proactive, creative, and strategic thinker who can effectively manage multiple projects and work with collective bargaining units.
