About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Vice President for Research (EVPR) to lead its next phase of research growth. The successful candidate will be the senior research leader, responsible for setting and executing a cohesive research strategy, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the research ecosystem. This role demands a distinguished academic with a doctoral degree, a proven track record in a relevant research discipline, and progressive leadership experience in a research-intensive academic or health sciences environment. The EVPR will be tasked with strengthening the operating and financial model of the research enterprise, expanding and stewarding relationships with various partners, and supporting the recruitment and development of faculty. A key aspect of the role is to balance vision with stewardship and accountability, and to represent the research enterprise effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for the EVPR position at the company will have a collaborative and diplomatic leadership style, with the ability to translate research strategy into executable plans and sustainable financial models. They must be adept at strengthening research financial transparency, and metrics, and data-informed decision-making, and be committed to the values of the institution. The role is pivotal in shaping the direction of the research enterprise, and the candidate should be motivated by the opportunity to make a significant institutional impact and to enable faculty and students to thrive in a focused, sustainable research environment.
