About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for Financial Affairs for the Health Sciences Center and Vice Dean of Finance for the School of Medicine. This senior leadership role is pivotal in providing financial and business acumen to support the strategic and operational needs of the health sciences enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial leadership, strategic analysis, and operational stewardship, and will work closely with the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and other senior leaders to advance the vision and sustainability of the health sciences center. Key responsibilities include advising on financial and operational goals, and playing a critical role in the financial planning and leadership of the center's growth and transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial and business leadership, with the ability to provide the necessary data, analysis, and financial reporting to support decision-making and ensure sustainable growth. Close collaboration with various stakeholders, including deans, clinical practice plans, and campus leadership, is essential to optimize the financial performance and strategic alignment of the health sciences enterprise. The role demands a leader who can equip the organization to deliver excellence in education, patient care, and research, and who is adept at managing the financial aspects of a complex and dynamic academic and healthcare environment. A strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the healthcare and academic sectors are required.
