About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization through a pivotal phase of renewal and growth. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and grounded leader, responsible for strategic and operational leadership, fundraising, external engagement, and mission stewardship. This role demands a visionary individual with a proven track record in leading organizations through financial and operational transitions, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to make difficult decisions while maintaining trust and transparency. The CEO will be the primary external ambassador, elevating the company's visibility and reputation, and will be expected to have deep connections with the blind and visually impaired community, reflecting its needs in the organizational strategy.
Key responsibilities for the CEO include strengthening the organization's financial position, leading fundraising efforts, and developing a clear, diversified revenue strategy. The role also involves fostering a positive organizational culture, leading with empathy and accountability, and ensuring that the company's programs deliver best-in-class services. The ideal candidate will have a people-centered leadership style, be a skilled relationship builder, and have the ability to engage authentically with the community. While experience in disability, rehabilitation, education, healthcare, or adjacent sectors is valued, it is not required. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure strong governance, strategic alignment, and support the organization's long-term planning.
