Job Description
We are seeking Field Operations Assistants and Contract Production Operators to support oilfield operations in a dynamic, field-based environment. These roles involve assisting with daily production activities, monitoring equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of wells and associated facilities.
Candidates will work closely with field leadership to maintain production targets, troubleshoot operational issues, and support ongoing maintenance and optimization efforts. These positions require a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence in oil production environments.
ResponsibilitiesField Operations Assistants (FOAs)
Provide direct support to field supervisors and assist with daily operational tasks
Assist in monitoring field equipment and reporting operational conditions
Support maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting efforts
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures
Assist with documentation, reporting, and communication between field teams
Production Operators (Lease Operators)
Operate and monitor oil and gas production wells and surface equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot pumping units, ESP systems, and production batteries
Monitor and manage water injection and/or CO? injection systems
Perform routine inspections of wells and facilities, identifying and resolving issues
Record production data, gauge tanks, and maintain accurate field reports
Coordinate with field personnel and supervisors to optimize production performance
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
Respond to call-outs and operational upsets as needed
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in oil and gas field operations preferred (entry to experienced levels considered)
Working knowledge of:
Pumping units and artificial lift systems (including ESPs)
Production facilities and tank batteries
Injection systems (water and/or CO?)
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills
Ability to read gauges, record data, and complete field documentation accurately
Strong commitment to safety, including H2S awareness (fit testing may be required)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field environments
Strong communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's license required
Position Details:
Location: Levelland, TX
Pay Range: $35/per hr
Per Diem: $55
