Senior Manager Data Analytics

SUMMARY

The Raybern's Senior Manager Data and Analytics role will play a critical role in transforming large, complex datasets into actionable business insights that drive sales growth, operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. This role will support commercial, finance and supply chain teams through advanced analytics, predictive modeling and data visualization. The Data Scientist will work across multiple syndicated and internal data sources to develop reporting frameworks, optimize trade spend, support forecasting and provide insights into customer and store-level performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following:

Data Strategy and Data Management
Maintain an

inventory of existing data sources and data capabilities

across the organization.
Integrate and analyze syndicated and internal datasets including: NielsenIQ, Circana, 1010data, Datassential, X3, Retailer data platforms (Retail Link, Madrid)
Transform large, complex datasets into

clear business insights

to support decision-making.
Identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, automation, and accessibility.
KPI Development and Executive Scorecard

Develop and maintain

consumption KPI scorecards

for executive leadership.
Produce standardized reporting including: Consumption reports by customer, Consumption trends by time period, Channel and retailer performance tracking
Ensure reporting consistency and accuracy across business units.
Retail Sales Analytics

Manage

weekly Walmart and Sam's Club sales reporting , providing insights across the store network.
Analyze performance across

4,700+ stores

to identify trends and opportunities including: Store-level sales performance, Top-performing stores, Regional demand patterns, Distribution voids
Provide

regional and distribution recommendations

to support retailer merchandising decisions (e.g., identifying distribution centers where specific products would outperform alternatives).
Provide

analytical inputs for S&OP and AOP planning cycles .
Support forecasting discussions in

monthly sales connect meetings .
Develop models to improve forecast accuracy across customers and products.
Financial Modeling & Reporting Support

Provide modeling inputs for

financial reporting and planning .
Support revenue, margin, and cost analyses tied to sales performance and promotional activities.
Assist in evaluating trade investments and promotional ROI.
Product Lifecycle & Exit Strategy Analysis

Support

product discontinuation and exit strategies , including:

Monitoring inventory sell-through at retail
Ensuring efficient depletion of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging

Provide weekly analytics to ensure alignment between customer inventory and internal supply chain.
Operational Efficiency & Automation

Identify opportunities to improve

process efficiency through automation, analytics tools, and AI applications .
Develop automated dashboards and reporting tools to reduce manual reporting workload.
Implement scalable analytics processes that support growing data complexity.
Special Projects & Ad-Hoc Analysis

Conduct

ad-hoc analytical requests

from sales, marketing, and leadership teams.
Provide insights on:

Store-level sales performance
Regional product opportunities
Market share and competitive dynamics

Lead

special analytics projects

that drive strategic business initiatives.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Masters (M.B.A. or M.S.) in business, data science, engineering, marketing, or statistics.
3-7+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or commercial analytics.
Strong experience with large retail or CPG datasets.
Proficiency in tools such as: Python, SQL, Excel (advanced), Tableau / Power BI
Experience with syndicated data platforms (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, or similar).
Experience with retail analytics platforms such as

Retail Link or retailer POS systems

is highly preferred.
