Position Summary

Position provides audit and input of assigned academic and nonacademic transactions, functioning as the primary source for payroll and personnel policies and procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues.
Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel.
Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms. May provide general orientation for new employee.
Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas.
Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening.
May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel.
Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary.
Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department.
May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process.
May assist in annual budget process.
Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR's reports.
Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan.

Salary Range

$21.17 - $32.85 / Hourly. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
