Position Summary:
The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) performs appointment scheduling and registration for patients and updates demographic information. The PSC will also perform various patient care activities to assist physicians, including preparing the examination room for the patient, taking patient vital signs, and recording vitals in medical charts. This position also maintains patients' medical charts and receives co-payments for the visit.

Phone triage
Pre-certification & authorization
Assist with weekly chart audits including reviewing charts of each Certified Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse
Ensure each individual is meeting the mark on repat blood pressures, performing all BH screeners, and subsequent assessments, printing offing VIS sheets when vaccines are given
Support OB/GYN team
Maintain supply par levels and submit monthly supply order to Clinic Coordinator
Keep track of Covid -19 supplies within the clinic
Core Competencies

Excellent communication skills
Keyboarding skills and aptitude for learning patient database program
Knowledge of OSHA requirements
Knowledge of medical terminology
Committed to supporting UCH's standard to medical excellence
Requirements
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Required
Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment
Required
1 to 2 years of related work experience is
Preferred
If not currently certified, must obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
